About Anita
From a young age I realized the importance of having a space where I could be myself. I was an introverted - yet social - child.
I’ve put much care into the design of my creative learning space. It’s an environment that promotes open-ended, play-based discovery. Children are able to learn independently and/or collaboratively. Physical activity is a big part of the programming, with daily visits to the playground.
Children can engage in activities such as building with Legos, blocks, and cardboard. Or learn through artistic discovery such as painting, drawing, sculpting, crafting, hand sewing, and jewelry-making. Reading, journaling, and puzzles are some of the quiet activities available.
My educational background includes a Level 1 Early Childhood Educator certificate, a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, and an Associate of Fashion Design degree from Parsons School of Design in New York City.
Originally from Nova Scotia, I’ve made Cochrane my home for the past eight years.
